Hi guys, present1

I have been going on to forums recently and contributing what advice I have to assist those who are new to the internet world. And I have noticed that a few of the members seemed annoyed and frustrated when it came to seeing results with making money online. Some were complaining that they’ve only been doing it for a few weeks and have yet to see money coming and you could smell the desperation because of the financial situation that they are currently in.

Now I’m not one to stop anyone from trying to make an income online but what I don’t condone is the instant gratification that some of us are looking to achieve on the world wide web.
Greed is good‘ - as Gordon Gekko liked to say in the Oliver Stone film ‘Wall Street’ but greed in this day and age, on the net, can be sniffed at in a heart beat particularly if you’re desperately trying to ram products and information down peoples throats.
Show me the money!‘ Yeah! We all want some of that and sometimes our ego gets the best of us and if we can’t have it now then the hell with it, we’ll try something else and give up trying.

Rushing into projects and expecting results quick and fast will not get you what you want.
Yes, there are people out there that have the knack, skill, talent whatever you want to call it, in making money quickly and efficiently online.

They seem to be the minority in this case, and the majority of us have to work harder and smarter in order to reach those exact same results.

Is it fair? Nothing in life is fair.

So I guess the first question you need to ask yourself when starting a business, project, whatever it may be is:

Is it worth it?

Is it worth updating my blog or site on a regular basis?
Is it worth commenting on other peoples blogs and giving value as well?
Is it worth writing posts that advise and inspire others?
Is it worth making videos that will attract more traffic?
Is it worth my time and effort to begin this venture in the first place?

Ask your self these questions and really be honest with yourself.

Because if you’re not planning to put in the time and effort it takes to work on your blog or website, update it on a regular basis, create value, drive traffic and manage a list then the chances are its not going to be worth it, for you, in the long run.

Patience, caring & understanding (I know it sounds cringing but deal with it!) is the key here.

If you give the best of yourself to people every single day, not just online but off line as well, you will attract some amazing things in your life and see astonishing results.
So stop expecting things to happen quickly. Forget the instant gratification you so desire and don’t expect things in return. Just have the trust in yourself and the belief that when you put things out their to the universe and don’t expect anything in return something will definitely happen…eventually ;-)

Why are dogs such loveable pets? Because all they want to do is give their love and affection to you. A man’s best friend is his dog. They don’t want anything in return, no money, no power, just food, water, a stroll in the park and a nice pat on the head.

In Kabbalah they call it unconditional love - it’s the love that is given to others with out expecting anything in return.

Deepak Chopra says  ‘every single day you need to go out and pay a random complement to a stranger and expect nothing in return.
The problem is that as human beings we all expect something in return.

So lets go out their guys and give something and expect nothing.
Lets go online and give our audience great value.

Lets give them honest comments.

Lets give them sound advice.

Lets give them helpful vids.

Lets give them cool tweets.

Lets give them the gift which keeps on giving.

And eventually you’ll reap the rewards for what you’ve been longing for.

All it takes is a little patience, caring & understanding.

    Hi Guy,

Most excellent post your have here, your point about “nothing in life is fair” is true. I guess the way, one can make life fairer for themselves is if the individual decides to take action and make something change or happen for the better of course.

Your post reminded me of Zig Zaglar motto:

“You can get everything you want in this world if you help enough other people get what they want!”

and so you mentioning of that getting yourself out there, giving value, having patience, understanding etc…. ditch the instant gratification thought etc… is certainly an approach we should all adopt and adapt to.

Anyway, not quite sure if my post made sense or provided enough value, you can delete it if you wish.

    Best regards and wishes
    Nigel

    Hi Nigel,

Thanks for the feedback man, and yes, I was planning to put the Zigler quote in there but decided to leave it for you to remind myself and the readers in the comment box ;-)
