Vlogging for success in 2009 - Part 1
Haven't subscribed yet? What are you waiting for, you know you want to subscribe to my RSS feed.
So, what is Vlogging?
Easy! It’s video blogging.
Nowadays video has become such a powerful medium that anyone with high speed connection and a relatively recent computer can make their own household movies.
All you need is access to a video-capable camera, a firewire cable and editing software which normally comes with your computer anyway (such as windows movie maker or imovie for apple system) and you can become the next Spielberg… or perhaps Ed Wood
So why should you vlog on your blog?
In a recent module with Alex Jeffreys, myself and most of the F-500 had the chance and pleasure to listen in on the chat Alex had with an exotic and entertaining lady who goes by the name of Maria Andros ( yes, she is a babe
)
Even though she’s only been vlogging for a little over a year she has achieved incredible success thanks to her inspirational vids which you can check out here.
She has over 1800 subscribers via YouTube and her videos have been watched by more then 1/2 million viewers!!!
So sexy Maria Andros definitely deserves attention.
Maria went on to say that videos are a great way of building a loyal fan base. She said that by providing value and by expressing yourself and your ideas on the Vlogosphere you are then able to connect with people on another level which is different then if it were by typing words alone.
By appealing to people on more then one level, your audience gets to see exactly who you are, what you’re like, how you sound, where you’re from and whether you’re someone that can be TRUSTED. that’s right my compadres, the camera never lies, so make sure that when you go for that close up (I’m ready Mr Demille) that the most important thing to remember is to just… BE YOURSELF.
That’s right! it’s that easy, just be yourself, be passionate and share your voice with us. Oh, and another tip - smile too
But not to much. You don’t want the camera to crack
If you do this right you will be able to create a presence online and slowly build a fan base into the thousands.
So be yourself, be passionate, get vlogging and start relationships with your audience online - if you can stir emotions with your viewers then you’re on the right track to becoming the next… president??? Hey, Obama managed to do it via the internet so why the hell can’t you?!
Okay compadres, that’s part one of your lesson for vlogging, be sure to tune in for the next post where I’ll b
e giving you the seven secrets to vlogging it right courtesy of our cute and adorable babe - Maria Andros.
